Nice set up restaurant, food was tasty but nothing special. But what a bad operator! Being barked by a male waiter, downright rude. Didn't feel like explaining options on the menu. If we ever come to heidelberg again, never there again.

Excellent burgers, (sweet potato) fries, dips, desserts and cocktails The service is good, even if it is a bit hectic at times, which can easily get you infected. The urban style makes the restaurant special and stands out from the rest of the city's restaurants. The location is perfect, as it is not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city center nor in no man's land. In summer, the beautiful and large outdoor area is also recommended, which is also pleasantly lit in the evening. Clear recommendation from my side :)

In the middle of the city, the Urban Kitchen invites you to linger ... with a large outdoor and indoor area, there is plenty of space for guests. It is very easy to reach on foot and by public transport. They have good cocktails and delicious burgers and pizzas .. The card can currently be scanned with a QR code and viewed on your own mobile phone. That was a little complicated. The service was always available and friendly.

The location is perfect and the outdoor area is well attended - even after 10:00 pm during the week. The tables are set up at a good distance from one another, but cards should still be displayed and not always referred to the Qr-Sanner variant! The service is courteous and explains the procedure well to "newbies" ?. The negative point is that everyone is used and older people don't always find it good ... you should think about it. The menu corresponds to the youthful flair, choose your bread, your salad dressing, your french fries and the dips etc. I was able to taste the small side salad with yogurt sauce + herbs. The size is ok and there could be more sauce ... from my side, this should be flavored more strongly ... was unfortunately hardly to taste. The burger looked very good and looked appetizing, but that's about it. Unfortunately very bland and no pep in the sauce and the meat ... but sad and my companion was not so happy with the food ... well it was worth a try.

Location has the charm of a Lidl parking lot, eat like from a food truck, but waiting around 1 hour and twice as expensive as from a food truck. Can only recommend it to a limited extent. Service nice.

Nice tent with a large terrace, where you can eat outside in the summer. If there is no table available, you can wait in the beach chairs with a drink. Tasty burgers. Really recommend!

Very, very tasty sandwiches that should definitely be tried when visiting. With the right side dish, they are not only perfectly rounded, but also served nicely. The service is very friendly and attentive, the location is cool.

We had a good experience here. The food is fresh and tasty especially burgers. Waiters are always friendly and try to help others. According to my experience, this place serves food faster than other ones.

Very nice conditions and delicious dishes are best. The spacious terrace offers enough space when the weather is nice. The restaurant is stylish and spacious. It is easy to reach and there are parking spaces in front of the door. Would love to come back. Thanks and keep it up.

Next time you visit Heidelberg castle, you need to stop by this place and grab some food. Recommend My Thai if you want Asian food. Pizza rolls and burgers are amazing. Great pricing and tastes great.

Had dinner with 6 friends here on a Saturday night. We didn’t make reservations but luckily another group didn’t show up so we managed to get a table. Definitely recommend making a reservation. I am rating this place a 3 because of the food. I ordered My Thai, which is essentially Thai curry. You can choose between vegan, chicken or shrimp and I chose chicken. It was a total disappointment...tasted more like creamy chicken. Definitely not tasty nor authentic. My friends ordered burgers which they enjoyed. The mojitos and other cocktails were awesome. The toilets could be a little cleaner. The restaurant is huge with lots of nooks and corners and has a hip, trendy decor. It was packed and is a good place to meet friends. Restaurant should focus on a few amazing dishes versus trying to offer dishes they do not specialize in.

I've been to many restaurants in my life BUT I have never experienced a waitress asking HOW we would like to pay the tip... By card or cash???????? NOT acceptable! Food was good.

AwEsOmE food and outstanding service! Vising Heidelberg for New Year's Eve and my husband and I weren't smart enough to make reservations. They were the Only place to take us and the BEST FOOD EVER!!!

After a walk through Heidelberg on Saturday we decided to have dinner in the urban kitchen. We have been seated very fast and at a nice and quiet table. While the first experience was very positive we then waited quite long until our orders were taken. After that we needed to wait even longer for the food, drinks came fast. It maybe the case that since we were hungry the longer waiting time felt heavier than it was but in that moment it was not cool. The dishes were tasty though and decently big. So in short, good location, decent food, fair price but too long waiting.

Kind of dirty and food is not always fresh. Brezel, butter and cofee are fine!
